St Werburgh’s Primary School is a rights respecting school where we work together. We are a community that celebrates our diversity and includes everyone. Together we learn how to show each other kindness in all we do.
At St Werburgh’s Primary School we love learning and aim for excellence. We help everyone discover what they are passionate about by encouraging our whole school community to take pride in themselves, be curious about the world and aspire to make a difference.
At St Werburgh’s Primary School we show commitment in all we do. Together we learn how to be resilient and adaptable to reach our full potential.
Welcome to St Werburgh’s Primary School. We look forward to meeting you and celebrating your child’s achievements during their time
with us here at St Werburgh’s Primary School.
We believe that to be a successful learner children need to develop an understanding of themselves and the world in which they live. We provide a culturally inclusive curriculum that will equip our young people with skills to become lifelong learners.
Our school is focused on learning and we celebrate our children’s achievements each and every day.
We are committed to ensuring strong and supportive partnerships with our Parents and Carers. Please talk to us about your child’s learning and emotional needs. We are here to help you in supporting your child’s journey through their Primary Education and onto Secondary School. We value the importance of close working relationships.
'Pupils are at the heart of this diverse and inclusive school. Leaders have high expectations and want all pupils to achieve well. The school values of ‘kindness, curiosity and commitment’ are evident in the way pupils interact with adults and their peers on a day-to-day basis. The school supports pupils in making the right choices.'

Thank you to the Lord Mayor of Bristol for opening our Year 6 Careers Fair and staying to talk to lots of children. We had a brilliant morning- lots of thoughtful questions from the children and excellent exhibitors all giving their time to inspire Year 6 children from across the trust. @bristolamplifyeducation
It's the return of our Golden Box filled with prizes for active travel. Today it was at Willow site and one lucky winner picked up a high visibility bib. Prizes all week!
Year 5 enjoyed their food technology lessons this afternoon and the results looked delicious!
KS2 were treated to an unique performance from the talented Chronic Blues Circus. They are a 2-piece band visiting from South India who play guitar, keys, saxophone, blues harp and sing in harmony with soul! The children loved hearing, clapping and singing along to classics from Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Louis Armstrong and Bob Marley. What a way to start the day!
When the coach is stuck in traffic on the M5! Thank you @krispies_fishandchips in Exmouth for super fast delivery. Year 6 will be back as soon as they safely can be- now with full tummies!
We all wish we were there! Much fun in the sun and sea at Exmouth for our Year 6 campers. @exmouthwatersports More in our stories and highlights!
Year 3 travelled back 2000 years in time to Aquae Sulis (Bath) to discover what Roman life was like. The baths were a meeting point for people to relax, worship and have beauty treatments. Although they didn't have time for these experiences today(!), Year 3 learned so much and showed fantastic curiosity!
A great afternoon @ashtongatestadium for our Year four children yesterday. Thanks to @bristolsportfoundation for giving our children the chance to do sport at a lovely venue. They got to do rugby on the pitch and try out some break dancing too.
Sunshine in Exmouth for our Year 6 campers today. Check out our stories and highlights for more pictures.
The Year 6 campers coped brilliantly with the wind and rain last night but are looking forward to drier weather for the rest of the week! Today saw more brilliant team work with groups enjoying archery, axe throwing and high ropes. More pics in our stories. #teamwerburghs
